World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade Classic Pre-Patch Goes Live for U.S. Servers

With June 1, 2021 only a few days away, World of Warcraft (WoW) Classic loyalists are very close to expanding their realm through WoW: Burning Crusade Classic.

But if you play from the U.S., you don’t have to wait that long. Through the newly-released pre-expansion patch on May 19, you can now enjoy upcoming features of the Burning Crusade (TBC) Classic era before the worldwide launch in June.

This means that if you have been planning to get your hands on WoW Classic TBC Gold, upgrade your level, and take your character to Outland, all you have to do is to login to your Battle.net app. From there, you can select the option to step into the new expansion.

WoW: Burning Crusade Classic Takes Your Experience to a New Level

As a delightful recreation of the original WoW: Burning Crusade from 2007, Burning Crusade Classic is all about taking your original Classic character through the Dark Portal.

Once the game launches worldwide on June 1, all existing Classic players will be able to decide whether to remain in the Classic realm or expand their horizons by advancing to Burning Crusade Classic.

If you are a Classic era aficionado, you might have a tough choice to make. But if you miss the Blood Elves, get nostalgic about the Draenei, and yearn to enjoy flying mounts through TBC Classic Gold, this new expansion is perfect for you.

The Burning Crusade Classic expansion brings about plenty of new features to take your experience to a whole new level.

Some of the major additions include:

  • New Races: Blood Elves and Draenei.
  • New Realm: Outland.
  • Increased Level Cap: Upgrade to Level 70.
  • Upgraded Mounts: Flying Mounts.
  • Enhanced PVP: Access Arenas.
  • New Character Options: Paladins for Horde players; Shamans for Alliance players.

Through these features, you can enjoy enhanced gameplay with plenty of new content. To help you decide whether Burning Crusade Classic is the right choice for you, Blizzard offers flexible upgrade options.

The Classic Era and the Burning Crusade Classic Experience Also Offers a Clone Character Option

With the pre-patch update that’s now available in the U.S., Blizzard offers you a choice to either stay with the Classic era or upgrade to the Burning Crusade Classic experience. But those are only the surface level choices. You have yet another option available that gives you the best of both worlds.

Through the pre-patch expansion, players logging-in for the first time after the upgrade will be able to see two options on the Battle.net app. These include WoW Classic and WoW Burning Crusade Classic.

If you wish to stay with WoW Classic, you can choose that option and play your Classic Era realms through a separate client download. In case you decide to upgrade to Burning Crusade Classic, you can enjoy what the expansion brings to the table.

But here’s the best part: If you decide to explore both realms with the same character, you can choose to “Clone” your character. This gives you the ability to play the same character as separate entities in both realms. While this option is available for an additional fee, it enables you to play both WoW Classic and Burning Crusade Classic at your own terms.

Ready to Head to Outland? Here’s What It Costs

The Burning Crusade Classic expansion is available without any additional fee to all existing WoW Classic players. This means that you can continue playing both games for a monthly subscription fee of $15. The pre-patch expansion also gives you the ability to explore the Blood Elves and Draenei races before the worldwide launch.

However, if you want a level boost to prepare for Outland or plan to enjoy the option of clone characters for each realm, you will need to pay an additional fee.

If you are in the U.S., you will already be able to see these options in your updated Battle.net desktop app. But if you are from outside the U.S., you will need to wait for the worldwide rollout.

With these details in mind, all that you have to do is to take some time out of your busy day and get ready to enjoy your WoW Classic or Burning Crusade Classic experience to the hilt.
