Geek Fuel is a subscription service that sends you a Monthly Mystery Box filled with everything you need to feed your geeky lifestyle. Finding a package from Geek Fuel on my doorstep has definitely become a bright spot in my month. Not knowing the contents of the package makes it all the more fun, but I have certainly come to expect it will be amazing. Check out the contents of this month’s box to see if you agree! You can also check out my previous reviews, as well.
Every box includes a handy card that outlines the items inside.
There’s also an issue of Geek Fuel Magazine each month that’s chock-full of fun, geeky tidbits. This month the cover features some zombies reaching out, desperately trying to get a taste of you. Totally appropriate with Halloween coming up.
You may be wondering about the blurry look to the art. For a bit of extra awesomeness, Geek Fuel made the cover and a couple of pages inside 3D. Don’t worry, they didn’t expect you to have 3D glasses stashed somewhere. A super nerdy pair is included! I love that Geek Fuel includes fun surprises like this. They understand it’s the small things that make their subscription great.
The articles this month definitely get you thinking about Halloween. Especially this one. How cool would it be to take a road trip and visit all of these haunted houses? While there’s always a variety of geeky brands each month, there is a definite lean toward Stranger Things in this box. If you’re a fan of the show, then you need this Geek Fuel box. You won’t find the items anywhere else, and that’s because October has all exclusive items! All of the Stranger Things goodies come inside this box fashioned after an Eggo waffles package. This is typical Geek Fuel, creating packaging that’s every bit as exciting as its contents. “Eleven” is on the box instead of “Eggo” because, after all, it is her go-to snack.
Once I was done appreciating the box, I pulled out this waffle air freshener.
Beware, it might make you hungry! It smells exactly like waffles drenched in syrup. Check out the upside down version on the back of the packaging.
The next Stranger Things item I pulled out was the shirt included every month. Eleven is cleverly made into a playing card. The upside down character on the card is of course the Demogorgon.
The final item is a package addressed to Chief Hopper.
The coffee stain hints to the mug inside the package. On the mug is the Chief’s motto for beginning his day, “Mornings are for coffee and contemplation.” I couldn’t agree more.
Every Geek Fuel box includes an enamel pin fashioned after their robot mascot. Lately the packaging has been amazing for these. This month adds to the Halloween feel with pins featuring horror films. I got the Jason Voorhees pin.
You can also get a Crypt Keeper, Hannibal, Scream, or Pennywise pin. While these are all fearsome characters, I think I’m glad I didn’t get Pennywise…
Geek Fuel got quite creative with this next item, and I love it! Pac-man style characters from Batman are made into magnets. I can’t help playing with these every time I visit the fridge.
Last item this month is the Steam game, Death By Gameshow. This is a strategy game where droids rule the world. You’re dropped in pure chaos where you must make good decisions to survive. You can check out the mayhem in this trailer.
If you’re contemplating a subscription to Geek Fuel, this is the month to try it out! Don’t get me wrong, their boxes are consistently awesome, but this month is top-notch. All the items come in amazing packaging you absolutely won’t want to throw out, and the items themselves were fantastic and functional. (I’m currently sipping out of my Stranger Things mug.)
