Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event held in early February 2022 presented a stream of the company’s next-generation Galaxy devices. While the audience and customers focused most of their excitement on Galaxy S22, the Galaxy Tab S8 tablet series also attracted some love for being quite an impressive tech.
The device demonstrates Samsung’s understanding that a large screen and portability are the tablet’s most compelling features as consumers rely more on videos to stay connected. During the Unpacked event, TM Roh, the President and Head of Business at Samsung Electronics, discussed the years of innovation in mobile experiences and the boundaries they have pushed to refine the Galaxy Tab S8 series.
As a result, Samsung has launched different models in the Tab S8 line, with Galaxy Tab S8 being the base model. The S8 features an 11″ 2560X1600 resolution display, S8+ boasts 1800X1752 resolution on the 12.4″ larger screen, while S8 Ultra features a sizeable 14.6″ display of 2960X1848 resolution.
In addition, the S8 Ultra has dual front-facing cameras of 12MP each, while the other two models have a single lens. Nonetheless, all three models have 120Hz refresh rates and come with 13MP and 6MP rear cameras. Also, the models feature a 4nm 64-bit Octa-core processor, although the RAM varies by model.
The Galaxy S8 series also have large batteries, 5G connectivity, and support 45W charging. The Ultra is exceptional in all these features and boasts 16GB RAM and an 11,200mAh battery. In the same way, the top version of the Galaxy Tab S8 is quite expensive at about $1,100.
