Heroes and Castles Review and *GIVEAWAY*
Brand spanking new and already rocketing up Apple’s list of Top 100 Paid Apps is Foursaken Media’s newest brainchild, Heroes and Castles.
Heroes and Castles in the latest app to come spilling out of the Foursaken laboratory. Since it’s release on January 17th, it has already rocketed to the 41st position in Apple’s Top 100 Paid Apps list. And for good reason! If you like a good castle defense/strategy game, you are going to love Heroes and Castles.
While being attacked by the Undead Horde and their Orc and Goblin allies, you, as hero of the game, must act fast to build an effective army and defend your castle from medieval mayhem. But this isn’t just any run-of-the mill strategy/defense game, it sports a ton of awesome features that really push it up and over the top:
- The Perfect Blend- As much as I love a good strategy/defense game, I really enjoy the 3rd person perspective that RPG’s have to offer. Heroes and Castles’ perfect blend of the two is what makes the app so much fun to play and so easy to navigate.
- Multiple Heroes- Pick from 3 unique hero characters, each one is vastly different! Choose Paladin, Engineer or Knight and defend your castle!
- Build Your Own Castle- Instead of just defending it, build it yourself! Erect towers, fortify walls and keep your castle safe from the enemy!
- 2 Player Mode- What’s better than playing an awesome castle defense game? Playing it with your friends! Pick a teammate at random, or choose someone you already know.
- Build Your Army- Extremely articulate and fully upgradeable, the army building options are endless!
Then, of course, there are the graphics. Just awesome enough to make you say “Wow, am I really playing this on my iPhone?” but not complex enough to slow down the game play.
No matter how hard I tried, I really couldn’t find anything that I didn’t like about Heroes and Castles. Why not give it a shot and decide for yourself!

This game seems pretty cool even though I have my reservations about it since I’m not a huge fan of Tower/Castle Defense games… It may sound crazy but $1.99 just seems too steep for me when I have yet to exceed $0.99 in all of my transactions in the App Store (thanks to periodic sales). The more I see & read of it though, the more it reminds me of Robot Entertainment’s Orcs Must Die series for PC, which are games I’ve wanted to try but haven’t had the chance to. Does anyone know if Heroes & Castles is similar at all to Orcs Must Die & it’s sequel? I’m sure Foursaken Media has created a great game in it’s own right, but if it’s similar to Orcs Must Die, that’s even more of a reason to pick it up- & $1.99 price tag becomes more intriguing
I can’t really answer you. But seriously I’ve bought like 35 games TOTAL since the release of apple devices! And I bought this game by just reading comments, looking at the pics. And it is PURELY AWESOMEN!
Seriously buy it…you’re missing the #2013 innovative game of the year. -not joking.
