Field Trip Health and The Growing Field of Medicinal Shrooms

As we have talked about before, it seems as if there is more reform in the drug sector. We now see more rollbacks of stringent laws relating to cannabis and other drugs. For instance, did you know that regions such as Oregon and Washington D.C. have made it to where you have several types of drugs in your possession? These areas have also kicked off the process of legalizing the medicinal utilization of Psilocybin.

Investors and consumers are pleased to see this turn of events as it provides a great deal of opportunities for the field of medicinal Psilocybin.

Interestingly, a few companies are already stepping into this sector and are seeking to lead the way, capture value, and push for medications derived from psilocybin. One of these companies that is leading the way by delving into this particular brand of medicine is Field Trip Health.

What is Field Trip Health?

Field Trip Health believes that they can provide the significant benefits of mushrooms without the trip. At least they think that they can minimize the trip and focus more on the benefits instead.

How can they do this?

They have done so by looking into the very chemical makeup and foundation of this substance. In addition, the team has been taking the time to conduct immense and intensive research on the nature of psychedelics and how it flows through your system.

After spending time on this research, the team decided to move forward with creating their version of psychedelics with a synthetic called FT-104.

FT-104? It sounds like fighter jet.

It is much more relevant to the common individual.

The firm states “FT-104 is a novel, synthetic psychedelic molecule developed by Field Trip inspired by the chemical structures of known psychedelic substances. FT-104 was selected for its simplicity as well as its potential to distinguish itself with respect to its pharmacological features relative to naturally-derived substances, such as psilocybin, DMT and LSD.

This is an important breakthrough in this part of healthcare as it shows that individuals can obtain the value of mushrooms and gain a higher quality of life without having to invest in a regular 9-5 shift. For instance, a regular trip can take at least 6 or 11 hours. But this does not work for those who are interested in conducting other activities and going on about their day.

While 6 or 11 hours seems to me a low-time investment to help alleviate conditions like depression and PTSD, some may have other priorities. But the issue with the treatment duration is not one that is only a problem for potential users but for clinicians as well. These doctors or care providers want to care for several patients at a time and make the process more efficient. At the present moment, it may not be economical to monitor one patient for that duration of time.

As such, due to the lack of treatment infrastructure, an innovation such as FT-104 makes a significant difference.

Field Trip Health is Moving Swiftly

The Miami New Times reports that Field Trip Health is opening up a clinic in Wynwood. Patients will be able to trip in a professional setting while alleviating their mental health conditions. The clinic will administer ketamine with the suggestion of layering on therapy to work through issues.

Reports also indicate that Ketamine has been legal for quite some time now. It has been in use since the 70’s and is approved by the FDA.

This shows that Field Trip Health is approaching the problem in a variety of ways while building an infrastructure of sites in several cities.

The firm creates a comfortable environment for you to be while you are undergoing this significant treatment.

Field Trip Health already has another clinic in Toronto, that it launched in the summer of 2020. It already has a footprint across several major cities in North America. These cities range from New York City to Los Angeles.

It will have a total of 12 clinics when this one in Miami goes live.

What is interesting about a visit to Field Trip Health is that you can visit the clinic, have your discussion with the on-site care worker, a psychiatrist, who will conduct an assessment. After the assessment is done, you are either given the green light to take the treatment or not.

The costs will range from $250 to $750 per session, depending on the type of session.
