Truck Cover Maker Worksport Brings Its COR Portable Power System to Amazon
Worksport Ltd., the Nasdaq-listed truck accessory maker, has begun selling its COR Portable Energy System through Amazon, moving its battery generator beyond its own website and onto Amazon’s U.S. marketplace.
The company is best known for tonneau covers, the hard and soft covers for pickup cargo beds. COR is part of a push into portable power, home backup and off-grid energy, a category where Worksport hopes to reach shoppers who have never owned a truck.
“Bringing COR to Amazon is a significant commercial step for Worksport,” said Steven Rossi, Chief Executive Officer of Worksport. “We have developed the product, completed its certifications and brought it to market. Now our focus is on growing sales. Amazon gives us another way to reach customers, build recognition for COR and establish Worksport in the portable-energy market.”
COR is a modular battery generator that delivers up to 2,000 watts of AC output and runs on swappable 960-watt-hour lithium iron phosphate battery packs. Instead of buying a second power station for longer runtime, owners can add batteries and swap in a charged pack. The unit has four AC outlets, USB-C charging and built-in lighting, and it works independently of a vehicle. It can also pair with Worksport’s SOLIS solar tonneau cover, which turns a pickup’s bed cover into a folding solar array.
The company notes that the 2,000-watt rating applies at temperatures of 25°C (77°F) or below with the DC ports inactive. Sustained AC output is 1,800 watts when the USB and DC outputs are used at the same time.
The COR starter bundle, which includes one inverter and one battery, is listed at US$ 799 on Worksport’s website, with additional batteries currently listed at US$ 499. Pricing, configurations and delivery options for Amazon shoppers are shown on the product’s Amazon listing.
The Amazon launch follows Worksport’s completion of North American certification for COR, including UL approval and approval from CSA, the Canadian standards organization. The company says the certifications support COR’s readiness for broader retail and commercial distribution.
“COR gives us an opportunity to serve customers who do not own a pickup truck and may never have purchased a Worksport product,” Rossi added. “A homeowner preparing for an outage, a contractor heading to a jobsite, and a family going camping can all have a use for COR.”
Persistence Market Research forecasts that this market will expand from about US$ 1.8 billion globally in 2026 to US$ 4.9 billion by 2033, a compound annual growth rate of 15.4%, and names emergency backup power, outdoor recreation and off-grid use among the main drivers of demand.
Worksport is also highlighting COR’s swappable-battery design and the option to pair it with SOLIS solar tonneau covers.
Worksport plans to evaluate selling SOLIS on Amazon in the fourth quarter of 2026. “As we evolve sales of the COR via Amazon’s marketplace, we will evaluate growing into other Amazon markets in South America and Europe,” Rossi said.
