Red Dead Online Gets a New Limited Time Event 

With Arthur Morgan videos continuing to blow up on TikTok, Red Dead Redemption 2 has established its reputation as a longstanding fan-favorite. But despite the immense popularity of the wild west epic, it has not received any standalone DLCs by developer Rockstar Games. 

With that being said, Red Dead Online, which is both included with Red Dead Redemption 2 and available as a standalone title, is still getting new live events to reward long-time players. The latest offering in Red Dead Online 2023 events focuses on Moonshiners and carries enough rewards to put a bootlegger’s wagon to shame.

Moonshiners Galore in the Latest Round of Red Dead Online 2023 Events

Out of the five specialist roles that you can choose for yourself in Red Dead Online, moonshiner is perhaps the most interesting one. With the option to launch your very own bootlegging business in the land of cowboys and gangwars, the world becomes your oyster. 

The newest event of Red Dead Online is dedicated to the same group and offers various perks and rewards to those who join the event between May 30 – July 3. These benefits include but are not limited to triple bonuses on in-game cash and XP for moonshiner story missions and double bonuses on moonshine deals. You can also get double rewards by participating in any of the weekly Featured Series during the event. 

The event also includes specific challenges that you can complete for further rewards. This makes it one of the most thrilling events to have come to the lands of Red Dead Online recently. 

What is Included in the Moonshiners Event?

The moonshiners event brings about a lot of perks that could help you get discounts on equipment, customize your character with exclusive items, or simply get bragging rights for playing the game better than Dutch van der Linde himself.  

Some of these rewards include the following. 

• Weapon Discounts. Slash the price of any weapon by half after eviscerating five Revenue Agent Blockades. 

• Role Item Discounts. Shoot 40 percent off the cost of any item for the moonshiner role by winning a Showdown Mode.

• Ability Card Discounts. If you complete any of the Free Room Events, you can get a nifty 40 percent off from any Ability Card. 

• Exclusive Clothing. Get a Squat Stovepipe Hat in blue once you complete A New Source of Employment missions. You can also complete a weekly sale either as a moonshiner or a trader to unlock exclusive weekly drops of in-game clothing. A free community outfit is also available to everyone by default. 

In order to participate in most of these missions, you need to be operating in the specialized role of moonshiner. You can do so by buying a moonshine shack and setting up a bootlegging operation to spread your high quality liquor across the lands of good old United States.

How to Participate in the Event?

You can participate in the event by firing up Red Dead Online through your Red Dead Redemption 2 game, or downloading the standalone Red Dead Online title from Rockstar Games. If you want to get the most out of the event, you may want to pick the role of moonshiner. But if you have already chosen a role for yourself, you can still enjoy some perks through other available offers that are included in the event.
