Online Gaming: Smartphone Limitations

I do have a bit of an addiction, I’ll admit it. I’ve been a huge fan of online gaming for many years, and even recently, I fell madly in love with online poker, Texas Hold’em to be exact! The fact of the matter is the variety of online gaming is endless. It’s no wonder why, we can barely live without our smartphones. Playing games online falls into many categories; MMPORG gaming, basic apps for Android or iOS, those annoying Facebook invites we drown in and even online casinos. Everyone has a favorite, and these days we love playing games on the go.

Convertible Tablets

As you know, online gaming is nothing new, but in recent years it has been taken to a whole new level. Smartphones, although incredibly handy for online gaming, has its limitations. If you really enjoy playing at online casinos like me, and you are thinking of moving up from a smartphone to a tablet, then there are a few things you should consider.
Convertible tablets that can double up as a laptop computer are great alternatives to conventional tablets. Many of the convertible PC’s, like the Sony Vaio Duo 11, the Dell XPS 12, and the Lenovo Idea Pad Yoga are targeted at business users, and will set you back anywhere between $1,000 and $2,000. But, have no fear! There are plenty of others built for the gaming consumers, and on the cheap!

Cheap Tablet PC’s

Starting at only around $500 is the Microsoft Surface, perfect size and easily mobile. And, there is also the Asus Transformer Pad Infinity, which starts at around $450. When it comes to online gaming, convertible tablet PC’s offer avid gamers the best of both worlds. You get a great screen that displays amazing graphics, and let’s face it – a real keyboard that is much more reliable than a virtual one. For me, this means I don’t hit the wrong key when playing online poker.
While devices like the Microsoft Surface has its advantages over conventional tablets, they are only a little less convenient to carry around. For example, the iPad is actually heavier than the Asus Transformer Pad Infinity when used as a tablet, and naturally there is the additional weight of the dock.

Gaming on The Go

But, if you enjoy playing these games at home or on the go, you can always choose to leave the dock on your desk and simply carry the tablet part around with you. At the end of the day, the Surface for me has many advantages over conventional tablets; I’ve actually put my iPad to rest for a bit, especially when I visit my favorite online gaming site jackpotcity.co.uk to play some online poker.

Many find it so much more convenient, not to say the sites themselves don’t make things WAY to easy, with so many great options, free registration, and of course instant download to any device you choose, with no fuss. Ultimately the additional versatility of the Tablet PC makes it the best all round solution, and let’s not forget how affordable they really are!
