Michael Bay Walks Out On Samsung CES Presentation
Samsung was probably pretty stoked about getting Hollywood film director, Michael Bay, to speak about their new products at CES in Las Vegas, however, the show went south really fast when Bay decided to walk off the stage.
Michael Bay Walks Out Of Samsung Presentation, Citing Autocue Errors
Initially, Bay began the presentation by stating : “My job as a director is that I get to dream for a living,” but he quickly became out of sorts when it was clear he was having problems remembering his lines.
Citing issues with his autocue, the director initially decided to “wing it”, but after several fumbling moments of awkward silence, Mr Bay apologized breifly and exited the stage.
Later, he wrote about the incident on his blog, saying: “Wow! I just embarrassed myself at CES – I was about to speak for Samsung for this awesome Curved 105-inch UHD TV. I rarely lend my name to any products, but this one is just stellar. I got so excited to talk, that I skipped over the Exec VP’s intro line and then the teleprompter got lost. Then the prompter went up and down – then I walked off.”
