‘The Frankenstein Chronicles’ Is Coming to Netflix
Fans of Penny Dreadful will be happy to know that a similarly dark series is headed their way. Netflix has scooped up the British cult hit, The Frankenstein Chronicles, and it will be airing as one of their originals, according to Variety.
Game of Thrones enthusiasts will be pleased to know that Sean Bean reappears on the small screen with a character that actually makes it to the second season. In this twist on Mary Shelley’s classic novel, he plays Inspector John Marlott who is investigating a corpse that washed ashore. Unsurprisingly, it’s made up of body parts from several people sewn together. Part of the twist is that the body parts are from children, making it all the more disturbing. The series follows Marlott’s struggles to find the madman responsible for the monstrosity, and he finds that it may go higher up than anyone imagines and there may be supernatural forces at play…
The launch date of The Frankenstein Chronicles on Netflix hasn’t been announced yet, but we do know that future seasons could be possible if America enjoys it. Check out the trailer below and see what you think!
