Battlefield 4 Official Unveiling On March 26

DICE and EA are getting ready to unveil the next iteration of their Battlefield franchise. It is reported that Battlefield 4 will be revealed on March 26th to expand one of the most popular shooters ever. No extra details have emerged yet, so those wishing for something extra will have to wait for more details.

Battlefield 4

An official invitation has been sent out to media outlets, like GameSpot for an upcoming Battlefield event in San Francisco on 26th March; where both companies have promised to celebrate “a new era of Battlefield”. This event is going to be a part of GDC 2013 (Game Developers Conference) that runs from March 25 to 29.

Battlefield 4 Beta

Last year EA announced the plans for the Battlefield 4 game, and stated that the beta for the game will be available in the fall of 2013. Also, gamers who purchased the Medal of Honor: Warfighter game were promised access to the beta before anybody else.

Ea’s CFO Blake Jorgensen stated during a conference call that Battlefield 4 looks astounding on the next-gen PlayStation 4. However, there are no official words by the company if the game will be coming to Sony’s next-gen console, but if it looks astounding then it will probably make its way to the console as well.

Battlefield 4 or Bad Company 3?

An image of Battlefield 4’s box art that allegedly portrayed the graphics from the game was leaked by the popular gaming blog, Kotaku. The leaked image shows a tank and a soldier carrying a sniper and a pistol. It also has the popular blue and orange color theme that’s similar to Battlefield 3’s art work.

On the other hand, there are also reports that Battlefield 4 may only be one of several other entries to the franchise. There are also rumors suggesting that the company is also working on the development of a highly anticipated sequel to the Battlefield: Bad Company 2 game.

We’ll be seeing more details and content surfacing out of the blue for the upcoming Battlefield 4 game as the reveal date comes closer.  March 26th is just right around the corner and more details should be making their way out to the blogosphere pretty soon. We’ll keep you updated with all the news and updates about the title so stay tuned.
