Your Twitter Bio: Hilarious Celebs And Finding What Works For You

You can tell a lot about a person judging by their Twitter bio: whether they’re funny as hell; an ignorant bimbo airhead; a snarky oddball; or even a regular citizen with a distinct personality. Twitter is one of the big names in social networking circles. It has been reported that there are over 190,000,000 users (insane!) going to Twitter each month.

No wonder top companies are using it to promote their business. While it’s not one of top 3 social networking platforms, I have to acknowledge that it’s a handy tool. Twitter is full of chunks: e news, cool stuff, celebrity news, among others. You’d be foolish to not use it.

If you’re looking to increase your Twitter engagement, the first thing you need to do is to work on your Twitter bio. The rule is simple. All you gotta do is make it supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. Some of these bios as listed below are pretty long, but don’t let them deceive you. You can create a spectacular one in just six words. Sarah Hyland did it. Take a look at them and hopefully they’ll inspire you. Know any under the radar’s snappy Twitter bios? Share them with us, we would love to hear about it!

Maureen Johnson

“There’s a fine line between good eye contact and the piercing stare of a psychopath. Maureen is on the wrong side of it. – a fan”

The best bios are often the funny ones. Popular YA author Maureen Johnson, best known for 13 Little Blue Envelopes made headlines in the bookish world last May. She initiated a cover flip experiment and asked her Twitter followers to “take a book and make a new cover for it by switching the author’s gender and imagining the result”. The outcome was interesting. Huffpost even picked the story up.

Sure, Maureen Johnson did not come up her Twitter bio, but it shows her wit and appreciation for humor. Plus, it grabs your attention. And I bet it did just that to you.

Jonathan Bennett

“I get it…my hair looks sexy pushed back. I act in movies, host tv shows, and I love inspiring people to be awesome.”

Yes, it’s that dude on Mean Girls! Like all pop culture reference, this one here is equally smart and definitely brings back bittersweet high school memories. Best known for his breakout role as Aaron Samuels, “… my hair looks sexy pushed back” is one of the high points of Mean Girls. Do a Google search and you’ll find out how famous and catchy it is.

Troian Bellisario

“Actor. Writer. Poet. Dancer. Rock and Roll Jesus. (sometimes I play this chick Spencer Hastings on this show Pretty Little Liars). But only sometimes.”

The most underrated Pretty Little Liars star, absolutely. Unlike her professional buddies on the hit TV show, Troian Bellisario tweets under the moniker “SleepintheGardn” – which might be the reason why she has significant less followers. The brunette beauty’s tweets are as witty as her Twitter bio. Her best tweet, in my opinion, is this: Can @shaymitch look bad? is it possible? I feel like I could fling monkey poop at her and she would glow like the sun.#pll.

Try not to love her. I dare you.

Ellen DeGeneres

“Comedian, talk show host and ice road trucker. My tweets are real, and they’re spectacular.”

Enough said.

Sarah Hyland

“I’m having writers block… forgive me.”

Sarah Hyland is far from Haley Dunphy, the character she plays on Modern Family. The 23 year old’s petite frame allows her to play a very convincing teen. With the recent release of Vampire Academy (Hyland takes on the role of Natalie Dashkov), I sense that her Twitter followers will get a notable surge.
