Need for Speed: Most Wanted – Review

I have a knack for racing games, especially ones with stunning graphics and life like gameplay. Well, I am sure that most of you have at least heard about the Need for Speed franchise by EA. NFS is the number 1 racing simulation franchise available across multiple platforms. Latest addition to the series is Need for Speed: Most Wanted, which is available for all the popular platforms including mobile devices as well.

Today, we’re going to review the Android version of the game, it offers console-like graphics and takes the whole mobile gaming to a new level.

First of all, as I already mentioned Most Wanted offers console-like graphics and pushes your mobile device to its limits. You will be amazed by the amount of work that has been put into the game. The main objective of the game, stays the same across all platforms:

Raise hell and become the Most Wanted…and of course don’t get busted!

Make the cops pay for their slow rides and immature driving skills. The game offers lots of racing options from Exotic cars to Big Bad SUV clashes, everything is available. You have the option to unlock and buy different cars as you accumulate in-game currency.

You can also sign into EA Origins account, if you have one and upload your best race finishes, high scores and much more. You can also compare your stats against your friends and compete against your friends’ high-scores.

There are two types of control schemes in the game, on-screen steering wheel and a Tilt-based control system, used in most of the mobile racing games. The controls would leave you wishing for something much simpler like the touch-based controls, because the on-screen steering is a bit difficult to operate.

But, the Tilt function works flawlessly.

 

As you’ll find in most of EA games, Most Wanted also includes popular soundtracks that make your racing experience more exciting. Background music takes you to a new level and keeps you immersed. The game also offers the option to buy upgrades, extra features and rides via in-app purchasing. You can use your real-life money as well. (But I wouldn’t recommend it)

In the end, I would like to keep it simple for you.

NFS: Most Wanted is the best racing game so far for Android, with stunning graphics, console quality game-play and highly energizing music, this game is actually the best bang for your buck. Best of all, EA released the game with a hefty price tag of $5+ but shortly after sometime, they slashed the price and brought it down to just $0.95, in my opinion that is a great deal and you should totally buy it before they change their mind and bring it back to the original price tag.
