Huawei Ascend P6 is the World’s Thinnest Smartphone
Huawei, the largest Chinese phone manufacturer has emerged with it’s latest flagship device, the Ascend P6 and it’s not just an ordinary phone, it’s the world’s thinnest smartphone so far.
The Huawei Ascend P6 is just 6.18mm thick (or thin) and sports a 4.7” display and a 1.5GHz quad-core processor under the hood.
The Huawei Ascend P6 is not just extremely thin but it’s extremely light as well with just 120g of weight, you will not even feel it in your hand (over exaggeration!). The Ascend P6 comes with Android 4.2.2 right out of the box with Huawei’s own Emotion UI on top of it. The Emotion UI is pretty sexy if you ask me, and suits the phones overall design.
The display is sharp and works with in-cell LCD screen technology. The Ascend P6 also introduces Magic touch that will allow you to use your phone while wearing gloves, no more poking holes to use your phone. That’s not all, there are more fancy technologies in the device, including the Quick Power Control (QPC) and Automated Discontinuous Reception (ADRX), that according to the company will optimize your battery life and enhance it by 30% compared to other similar sized batteries.
The Huawei Ascend P6 is the latest flagship device for the company and it will give other top devices like Galaxy S4, HTC One, etc a run for their money. However, and unfortunately, the company has revealed no intentions of bringing the device to the US market. It would be great to see the Ascend P6 arriving on major carriers in the US and going head-to-head against the likes of iPhone 5, Galaxy S4, etc.
Huawei Ascend P6 Availability
The device will be available in China starting in June and will make it’s way to the European market starting from July. We will soon hear when or if the device will make its appearance in the US market.
Stay tuned for more info on the world’s thinnest smartphone.
