GTCC Summer Clash: GameZone’s Biggest Tongits Tournament Heats Up This June
As summer kicks into high gear, GameZone is raising the stakes with its highly anticipated GTCC: Summer Clash. Set to run from June 24 to 28, this electrifying Tongits tournament will bring together 135 of the Philippines’ most skilled players, each competing for a piece of the massive prize pool. The GameZone Tablegame Champions Cup is poised to be one of the most intense and exciting online card game events of the year.
How to Join: Your Path to GTCC Success
To earn a seat at the GTCC table, players must first participate in the Tongits Multi-Table Tournament happening on gzone.ph from April 25 to May 16. Open to all registered users of GameZone, this qualifier offers both seasoned players and Tongits newbies a fair shot at greatness.
Once signed up, players receive free chips to ensure everyone starts on equal footing. Daily rounds offer both cash prizes and leaderboard points, challenging participants to showcase strategic thinking, quick decision-making, and composure under pressure.
The mission is simple: climb to the top of the leaderboard. The top 135 players will be announced on May 27 and earn a spot in the main event.
Tournament Breakdown: From Qualifiers to Champions
Elimination Phase: Group Battles
The tournament opens with 135 players split into three groups — A, B, and C — each containing 45 participants. These players compete in three intense 20-round matches. After this round, only the top 84 players will advance.
Promotional Round: Proving Grounds
Those who make the cut proceed to the promotional stage, divided into two parts. First, the 84 players are distributed into 28 smaller groups. Based on their performance, players will be sorted into either the upper or lower brackets — the top 30 heading to the upper bracket and the remaining 54 to the lower bracket.
This structure ensures a fair and dynamic competition. Only nine players will move on to the semifinals: five from the upper bracket and four from the lower.
Semifinals and Grand Finals: Where Legends Are Made
The semifinals bring together the top nine contenders in a grueling 60-round showdown. This round tests not just skill but stamina and mental toughness.
From here, the final three players will emerge and clash in the ultimate 100-round battle — combining the 60 semifinal rounds with an additional 40 final rounds. The grand prize of ₱5,000,000 awaits the champion, while the runner-ups will receive ₱1,000,000 (2nd place) and ₱488,000 (3rd place), respectively.
