GoG Hosts Epic Level Dungeons and Dragons Sale

Have you heard of It stands for good old games, and is one of the best places on the web to pick up older titles for your collection. This weekend their hosting one of the best Dungeons and Dragons inspired role-playing game sales that I’ve ever seen. If you missed out the best of the DnD rpg world, or just miss them, then you need to check this out like right now.

GoG Dungeons and Dragons Sale

Any time I hear about a sale of Good Old Games I head over to check it out. They are often on great games that I’m only reminded of once I arrive to the sale. Sometimes they are little known gems that are worth picking up for the fair download price that GoG offers them at. But this time, oh man, many fans of classic PC rpgs are going to find this sale to be an orgasm-inducing experience.

Strap on your broad swords and pack your pocket hamsters because it’s time to roll with some old classic rpgs. These are not only great games, they are the games that set the standard for DnD inspired games that still hold strong up against the games of today. On a regular basis we are offered games that fall far below the bar that these games set. At 75% off there is little reason to not add these to you collection if you never picked them up, or lost them.

The collection includes an impressive number of titles:

Neverwinter Nights: Diamond Edition

Neverwinter Nights 2: Complete

Baldur’s Gate: The Original Saga

Baldur’s Gate 2 Complete

Planscape: Torment

Icewind Dale Complete

Icewind Dale 2 Complete

Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone

Dungeons & Dragons: DragonShard

The Temple of Elemental Evil

You might look at that list and be like “damn all 10 titles for $26.40?,” but you would be a fool. Though I’m impressed you knew the price point before I even said it. If you look at that list you’ll notice a number of those are complete and gold collections. That means there are a good number of expansions also contained in this awesome bundle, so you’re really getting far more than 10 titles. The amount of game play available through all of these could easily last you until your death bed, thanks to replay value.

If those aren’t enough to fill your need for cheap classics, then how about a few less well known titles? If you’ve got a taste for the tactical turn based games then GoG has another sale for you. While these titles may not be as well known as the DnD collection that’s on this weekend, they are still pretty cool titles that fill a different type of hunger.

Check out these strategic titles:

Etherlords 2

S2: Silent Storm Gold Edition.

Those three titles are on offer at 50% off at a nice $10.95. Of course with both bundles you’re not required to buy every piece of the collection. You just save more for each of the games you buy, getting the biggest discount by buying all of the games.

Keep up with GoG, because they do these sales all the time. They are a great way to fill up your classic game collection. It always feels good to have a throwback game session to remind you of why you are still gaming today. If you want to take advantage of the sales we talked about here, then you’d better hurry. The DnD and tactical sales run through until Tuesday and Monday respectively. I would love you tell you about all the awesome stuff you can pick up, but I have to get back to Baldur’s Gate. Also, I think I want a hamster now…
