Meyers-Briggs Sends Pot Smoker Stereotypes Up in Smoke
In the early months of 2023, Blazr.App – a renowned dating website dedicated to the cannabis community – carried out the Myers-Briggs Personality Tests with 16,714 registered users, garnering some intriguing outcomes.
It turns out that many stereotypes about marijuana smokers are simply untrue, and the data supports many of these counter-intuitive ideas.
Study Result #1: Weed Smokers Are More Extroverted Than General Population
Compared to the general population, between 50-70%, 86.2% of marijuana smokers can be labeled extroverted. In addition, 19.5% percent of the marijuana smoking community can be classified as an Extravert, Intuition, Thinking, and Perceiving (EITP) Personality Type, as compared to 2% to 3% percent of the total population.
One survey member responded: “With or without weed, I’m nearly always the life of the party. I don’t just sit around and play video games, fantasize about traveling to the moon, or spending countless hours on TikTok. I go out several nights a week, go with friends to escape rooms, and travel many times a year to exotic locations with large groups of people. I am most certainly extroverted.”
Study Result #2: Weed Smokers Are More Motivation Than the General Population
A staggering 81.8% of marijuana smokers are highly motivated, contrary to popular belief. Jay Lindberg, the co-founder of Blazr, the number one dating app for cannabis users, challenged the popular opinion “that cannabis smokers are lazy, unmotivated and introverted, with most of their time being spent on ‘couch lock.’” The survey of 17,000+ regular cannabis users attests to the truth.
Another survey member responded: “I’ve been a cannabis user for several decades, and I’m the exact opposite of unmotivated, lazy, and lethargic. I own multiple properties around the country, and several highly successful businesses, maintain many relationships and hit the gym every morning at 5 AM. In addition, twice a year, I run decathalons and spend two weekends a month volunteering at homeless shelters and food banks.”
