In a world where the concept of the metaverse has been made a reality, enterprise virtual collaboration platforms have demonstrated the new possibilities created by the existence of virtual worlds. Platforms like the aptly-named Meetaverse have shown that 3D virtual worlds can exist not only for the purposes of play, socialization, and technological novelty, but also for important everyday functions such as business, collaboration, and training.

In August 2023, Meetaverse was founded to provide immersive virtual environments where professionals from all over the world could have a more engaging and personal collaboration experience than common communication platforms such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams could provide. As the platform continues to evolve, it has focused on core design principles such as interactivity, global collaboration, and accessibility. Today, Meetaverse has become ground zero for countless professional events, training sessions, webinars, brand experiences, and onboardings, all within the confines of a virtual world not too dissimilar from the worlds found in platforms such as VRChat.

Meetaverse was conceived by global media and tech executive Oded Napchi, known for being featured in media outlets such as MediaPost and ExchangeWire, where he has discussed his views on technology trends such as smart TV platforms and video advertising. A seasoned tech entrepreneur, Napchi’s previous ventures include the online video network HIRO Media and the mobile community platform Valis. Meetaverse in May 2025. The platform’s next big step is implementing its 2026 roadmap, which consists of several technological upgrades and new features. Its first order of business is transitioning to Unity 3D, a game engine responsible for powering the graphics of interactive experiences such as Playdead’s Inside, Ori and the Blind Forest, and the popular VR rhythm game Beat Saber. The switch to Unity 3D will give the platform an increase in graphical capabilities, resulting in more immersive environments and the ability to host larger, global events within Meetaverse.

Meetaverse’s future plans also include accessibility features such as closed captioning and real-time translation, a new Guide Role for hosts leading groups, support for pre-assigned breakout groups, and simplified messaging across the platform. Meetaverse also plans to expand the social aspects of the platform, as connection and socialization have always been the heart of metaverses. The platform aims to expand its avatar customization and include other social features such as gestures and virtual photo booths. Lastly, Meetaverse aims to increase the interactivity of its platform, by integrating features such as quizzes, live polls, and expanded 3D collaboration hubs for virtual teamwork.

With the dawn of a new era for the platform, Meetaverse is also planning a subtle rebranding, rechristening the company as Althimis, while keeping Meetaverse as the name of the platform and product line. As the company looks forward to the future, it will keep its focus on its stated goal to create a collaboration platform that can keep employees engaged for more than 3 hours. With weekly meetings that many professionals treat as endless drudgery, Meetaverse’s virtual solutions may be the answer to avoiding listener fatigue during long online team meetings.

Meetaverse’s 2026 roadmap is more than a technical update—it is the redefinition of professional interaction. By blending immersion, accessibility, and engagement, the platform is aiming to change the future of enterprise collaboration all over the world.
