Okay, I’ll admit it, when I first saw the name of this product I was all, “wooohoo!” because as an old hippie at heart, my mind went to partying and possibly hearing colors. However, while you may not get to “trip” and the urge to haul your blacklight out of the closet, this is definitely a product worth checking out.

With the worlds first legal psychedelic blend of kava, damiana, and green tea, Psychedelic Water is a mood-boosting canned drink that is crafted for fluid thinkers. With flavor combinations like oolong and orange blossom, hibiscus and lime, blackberry and yuza, and the standalone Prickly Pear, you’re bound to find one you like. Especially if you enjoy various teas.

What is Kava?

Kava is a plant that many believe holds therapeutic properties. Its psychoactive ingredients are called kavalactones and they’re responsible for the effects people feel. Kava has been used by South Pacific islanders for generations as a social drink and is even the national drink of Fiji. It’s known as a natural source of relaxation and is widely used to melt away stress and leave users with warm, happy feelings.

However, it’s not only used in the South Pacific but actually spans continents and cultures and goes by many names. Some of the other names you may have heard are:

  • ‘Ava
  • ‘Awa
  • Lewena
  • Malogu
  • Malok
  • Saqua
  • Seka
  • Wake
  • Wati
  • Yaqona
  • And more

However, with the ever-growing popularity of this incredible plant around the world, the name “kava” is becoming the norm.

A few other benefits of kava that have been reported are:

  • Battling insomnia
  • Regulating chronic fatigue syndrom
  • Reducing joint and muscle pain
  • Dulling migraines
  • Reducing restlessness

Of course, despite all of its potential benefits, kava is almost always taken to chill out and let users explore a new way of seeing things.

What is Damiana Leaf Extract?

Damiana leaf extract is derived from the mildly psychedelic damiana shrub that grows wild in the Central America, Mexico, and the Caribbean. In early summer to late fall, it produces a beautiful yellow flower and in the fall, it starts bearing small, sweet-smelling fruits that taste sort of like figs.

However, it’s neither the blooms or the fruit that true damiana lovers enjoy and is actually the beneficial components of the plant’s leaves. While the Aztecs, Mayans, and Guaycura all used the damiana leaf as an aphrodisiac, these days it’s mostly used to ease stress and discomfort.

Other benefits of damiana leaf that people swear by are:

  • Decreasing mild depression
  • Increasing positivity
  • Alleviating stomach ailments
  • Providing energy
  • Promoting general wellness

While technically damiana does have some psychedelic properties, the components in the plant, especially in the amounts in Psychedelic Water, won’t do anything more than help you feel happy and calm instead of sad and stressed.

Benefits of Green Tea Extract

Green tea is an antioxidant-rich, fat-burning leaf that is widely used for its health benefits. Prepared from the leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant, green tea extract contains the antioxidants called flavonoids and polyphenols that can help protect your cells from damage.

There are other possible benefits of green tea extract too, such as:

  • Promoting heart health
  • Protecting brain cells from oxidative stress
  • Assisting with weight loss
  • Reduce inflammation caused by some liver diseases like nonalcoholic fatty liver disease
  • Improving skin health
  • Help lower blood sugar

It’s also being studied in the prevention of cancer and other diseases.

The Verdict on Psychedelic Water

Psychedelic Water is free from any unnatural ingredients and its lightly-carbonated, non-alcoholic, mild psychoactive blend will never leave you feeling hungover or jittery. Instead, it will boost your mood and can improve mental clarity, which of course can result in a lot more creativity and overall happiness.

Because of this, Psychedelic Water has garnered a good bit of attention, even grabbing over 15 million views on TikTok and selling out within the first three weeks. Personally, I’m not very adventurous when it comes to trying new things and once my wife told me it reminded her of herbal tea, I decided to let her help me with the review on this. LOL. She really liked the oolong and orange blossom the best and she said it made her tongue tingle and definitely lightened her mood. She was intrigued by the first results so tried the rest over the next few days and has told me several times that she’d like to keep some of these around the house.

With it fueling the creatives and risk-takers with a state of happiness, mental clarity, and creative bliss, Psychedelic Water’s popularity and reputation are on a huge uptick. You can find online at Psychedelic Water’s website, Amazon, and Walmart, or at Urban Outfitters, Foxtrot, and Erewhon retail stores nationwide.
