This Invention Could Be the Home Protection Many Have Been Waiting For

This One Second Video from a French company that may change the way we think about home security threats, intruders, and non-lethal force forever: 

The operating principle is simple: The action of an electric motor ejects a metal arm out of a box and, driven by centrifugal force, employs a chain composed of segments and pins to capture the intruder (see video above). Actuated by an electric motor, the device rolls up the cable, which brings the end of the segments together and closes the chain around the target intruder’s leg. The segments are lined with a rubber reinforcement to absorb the shock. The chain does not close tighter than a circle of 4,25 inches for improved safety.
